They ask applicants to do a STATA or R test where you analyse some data. After that, they schedule an interview process where one of the panelists is your line manager.

Interview
I applied online but only heard back a few months later. Did a STATA test, an interview with the local office (which seemed to have a pre-determined list of interview questions), and then an interview with the Principal Investigators who were running this project.
