I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at JCPenney (Oklahoma City, OK) in Jul 2010
Interview
My interview was at store 1122 in Oklahoma city. I was interviewed by first a supervisor and then the store manager. The questions were simple and quick...(Are you a people person? Have you worked retail before?.......etc.) The supervisor who would soon become my immediate supervisor was warm and friendly. She only asked about 3 or 4 questions and then she immediately sent me to my second interview with the store manager. I was intimidated at first but she made me feel very comfortable because she was friendly and she wasn't intimidating at all.

Question 1
I really don't remember having a hard question asked of me. It was almost as if I already had the job and the interview was just a requirement that they had to meet to hire me.
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
