I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Ivo in Mar 2026
Interview
The process was fast but scrappy, and HR scheduled some rounds only to change up the structure of interviews later. I did well on technical and behavioral rounds, all the way until the onsite and CEO call after, however the company decided to not extend an offer due to technical performance issues 2 rounds prior to the end. Wasted both our times when they knew they didn't want to extend the offer earlier.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical interview coding: implement tic-tac-toe
Onsite interview coding: parse json with cryptocurrency names and exchange rates, construct a graph between nodes, and perform shortest cost traversal to find most efficient path from one currency to next. Subsequent parts involve implementing support for custom amounts ( function provided) and implementing an equation from a cyclic arbitrage paper.
The first part was a short form interview online through an app called quilgo. The second part was a short meet with the CTO, where we discussed basic things. After, it was a long technical interview followed by an onsite way after.

Interview
Sometimes in my career, I come across what I’d call “the one that got away,” and for me, this opportunity with Ivo is one of those moments. It was truly a compelling role, and while I performed well and received positive feedback, I can’t help but feel this is one I’ll look back on with a bit of disappointment that it didn’t work out.
The experience itself was exceptional from start to finish. The recruiter was absolutely delightful, responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. I left the experience genuinely hoping I’ll have the opportunity to work with her again in the future.
The executive I met with was equally impressive, sharp, engaging, and clearly a strong leader. Even with a long career behind me, I found myself thinking how much I could have learned from her and the broader experience at Ivo.
I can’t say enough good things about the process overall. Ivo is operating in a rapidly growing space, and I have no doubt they are well positioned for continued success. I wish the team nothing but the best moving forward.
