Initial interview could not get past recruiter even though I was an award winning phenomenal former employee. The actual hiring managers declined to see me with no real reason given.

Approached by Insperity recruiter based in TX. The first phone meeting was a very quick review of my resume. I was immediately scheduled to meet with the regional manager of my area. The process of the job that they explained to me was akin to entry-level work and seemed fully unpleasant. The manager was very dry and without much personality. He basically asked me what questions he should be asking me. At that point I stood up and let him know the interview was over and I would never work for this company. I never completed their background check paperwork prior to an offer, as they had requested I do.
