Interview
The company is an early-stage start-up, and the founder takes hiring seriously. Expect multiple rounds with the founder that could be 1 or more hours. There is an immersive amount of talent for such a small company, and it is because they take a slow, thought-out decision for hiring.
First round - Toured facility, met with CEO and Chief Commercial Officer
Second round - Interviewed with the current application engineer, production manager, CEO, Founder
Third Round - 2nd interview with Founder

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Impossible Objects (Northbrook, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
Send in resume through friend, get called speak to CTO/owner of company, get a call back, go in and visit offices and talk with same person, then talk with CEO of company, then get offer letter or decline. It is very low key and mostly seems to be a personality fit screening. There are no technical tests or big hoops to go through.
