I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Covina, CA) in Mar 2014
Interview
First phone call is asking you if you accept the hour rate as 9.75 and work on the weekend. Said okay, then second phone call ask you technical question and personality question. The third phone call is directly from manager which ask basically the same thing as second phone call, and if the manager thinks you are fit, then will be a 1 on 1 interview. When I arrived there, they first told you to fill out application and background check application. Then wait manager come to interview you. Manager asks your team work ability and tell the process in their department. Take about 15-30 mins. Like normal interview. Very easy going environment
Didn't actually get an interview - however they at least sent an email acknowledging my application and invited me to a meet and greet a few weeks later. Disappointing, I hoped to at least make it to the next stage.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at IKEA (Seattle, WA) in Jul 2015
Interview
The interview is about 30 minutes and they ask a lot of situational questions. You interview at the store and it can be a little bit off schedule since the managers must monitor the cashier line while interviewing.
