I applied online. I interviewed at Hexmodal (New York, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
Quite frankly, one of the most painful and unprofessional experiences I have ever had the misfortune of going through in a professional workplace.
Process started easily enough with in person stakeholder interview with the Head of Revenue except he didn't show up and the interview was conducted by a separate stakeholder.
Was invited for an in-office panel interview w/ presentation work done that went well with multiple stakeholders including Revenue head. Then was asked to come in again to meet with CEO who was supposed to have attended the initial in-person interview.
What followed was nearly 3 weeks of confusing rug pulls and silence. I was initially told I was going to get an answer by EOW. Then I was told the week after that they would get me an answer by EOW as they were "just finishing their processes".
Then in the last week, I was informed that they were actually going to be interviewing for a Sr. Manager role and that the necessity of my role was 50/50. They then decided to waste my time by waiting for EOW to let me know that despite "loving me", they were going to eliminate my role in favor or creating the Sr. Manager role instead with another candidate.
4 weeks of time wasted for a role that was never going to exist in the first place.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hexmodal in Dec 2025
Interview
Straightforward interview after a brief recruiter screening. The interview was unprofessional on multiple levels and removed any interest in the role.
It started extremely late after the scheduled time and the interview had little structure. There was minimal response when answering questions, and when asked if there were any other additional questions other than the single question asked, there were none and the interview ended. Based on 1st impressions, wouldn't go near this role if you're an experienced candidate.
