I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Happy Feet Plus in Mar 2017
Interview
First step was a 15-20 minute phone interview. After that I was invited to the office for an in-person interview. Met with my direct report and another employee. The CEO sat in for the first ten minutes and asked a couple irrelevant questions. The only one I remember was " what public person do you dislike most?" No one really seemed prepared for his presence. After he abruptly left I had a roughly 1.5 hour interview with the remaining two employees. It was a nice, thoughtful and professional conversation.
The interview ended with an office tour where I met many of the office employees and the owner/founders. Before I left I was given a hard timeline on when I would hear back "whether or not we decide to proceed." Because of the extended interview and office tour I was feeling very positive about the experience.
Went home that night and sent "thank you" notes to everyone involved. Received a very fast reply from the CEO that made little sense but mentioned that he needed to talk my employment over with the TEAM. (He capitalized TEAM several times in the email.)
Anyway, I never heard anything else. I know it's not out of the ordinary for an employer to completely ghost a prospective employee, but I've never been dropped this hard after being built up so much. For what it's worth, there seemed to be a real communication problem at this office.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name one public person you admire and one public person you dislike.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Happy Feet Plus (Sarasota, FL) in Feb 2018
Interview
Arrived 15 minutes early to an 11:00 am appointment. One other applicant was there ahead of me. I walked out at 11:45 without having the interview. I understand if you are a little late but Patrick who I was supposed to have the interview with never even acknowledged me. I was greeted by another employee when I entered and was told it might be a little while. If you don't value a prospective employees time how are you going to treat existing employees.

Interview
Interviewed with regional and one of the owners. Typical interview very professional. Very detailed about the requirements of the position. They are very intense about the structure and expectations which are perfectly understandable when applying for a position Ok with the expectations, results desired, and workload and hours. What was shocking was the pay. 10.00 an hour to pretty much run their business. They new I was over qualified they offered me the position. Asked if I could have 24 hours to decide and get back to them, both agreed. Told to contact the regional next day 2 phone calls no return call. Maybe they knew I would decline however if your asking candidates to be professional as a company representative you should also show some professionalism and get back to the candidate.
