I applied online. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (New York, KY) in Jan 2026
Interview
They emailed me shortly after submitting an application, offering a HireVue. The HireVue is about 6 questions. They give you no retries. They were primarily behavioral, with 1 market question as well.
Preference of software/quant was asked in the test. In the test there is a behavioural section, if you answer that properly you will get an interview.
There was a panel of 3-4 members in the software team, usually you got your interview in 2 panels (for two rounds of the same difficulty)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask basic arrays, and linked list questions in DSA. Other than that they discussed my projects, there was not really much else in the interview for both the rounds. If you have a good introduction about yourself prepared, are knowledgeable about your projects and know basic DSA, you can get hired.
Great interview process, super nice people. Come prepped with typical IB questions and answers. Get to the super is easy, super day is tuff. So be easy on yourself is my bigggest takeaway XD
4 rounds
1) Hackerrank (math + programing)
2) Pre-recorder interview (social questions)
3) Superday (2 back to back calls, technical only)
4) Final call (technical only)
I am not CS student, so it wasnt easy for me, but I believe that for CS students that should be peace of cake
