I was invited for a telephone interview with the CEO after submitting my CV. I was told in advance by the recruiter that I would be asked about my previous skills and experience and be told more about the role over the phone. However, I was only asked two questions. The first was asking why I’d chosen to apply to the role and the second, a brain teaser. I wasn’t given any opportunity to describe my skills and experience, so it didn’t seem like the company were really bothered about interviewing me from the start. No description of role or questions about practical application of my technical skills. The second question seemed irrelevant for the job description.
