I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Gartner in Jan 2016
Interview
The beginning of the process (essay questions, 30 minute phone interview) went very well. I had a nearly 4-hour in person interview, which also went well but was very repetitive. I met with about 5 different groups of people who asked nearly identical questions - it was a test of endurance as much as intelligence. After this interview, the process dragged on, and I had another phone interview. I was very confused about how a 10-minute interview would help them make their decision after such a long face to face interview and a very comprehensive process in general. It was clear they couldn't make up their minds and at this point I had already decided I did not want to work at a place that could drag out an entry-level hiring process for 2 months and keep a prospective employee waiting and waiting for an answer. Since they are still hiring for this position 3 months later, I see not much as changed.
Interview was easy to crack with questions asked on basics of marketing, relevant tools and basic behavioural questions. My overall experience was good, the HR was friendly and helpful throughout the process
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Lincoln, NE) in May 2023
Interview
Fairly standard and there wasn't anything that stood out. The interviewer was monotone but otherwise that's fine. Felt that I wouldn't continue on with them even given the chance after chatting with them.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gartner (Austin, TX) in Jan 2020
Interview
During the interview process they will go through a series of introductory questions that aim to discover who you are professionally, what you know about Gartner as a company, and why you are interested in working there.
