I applied online in January 2015. A day later, I got an email inviting me for a phone screen. The woman on the other end discussed the basics of the job, but was mainly verifying that yes, I can go the 3 months for the training program.
I then was scheduled for a spatial reasoning/reading comprehension test within 24 hours of the interview. If you've had the fortune of taking the ITBS during primary and secondary school years, this is similar. You will have to have the test administrator on the phone during the test.
The in-person interview at a local GEICO XPRESS body shop was the last phase of the interview that I made it to. Two adjuster were yelling at each other over an assessment when the interviewer called me back. The in-person interview asked me all the same questions that they did during the phone screen, plus some additional ones such as "You've allotted 5 hours, as per procedure, for a repair, but you have an angry mechanic the says you're cheating the customer out of a good repair by not allowing them the full 9 hours to repair the damage. How would you handle the situation?" and "It is 1:40pm. You have to take a 10 minute drive to a site by 2pm, also send an email by 2pm, write down notes on what you did for an adjustment, and return a phone call. How would you prioritize these tasks?"
I later got a rejection email, however, based on what I saw at the body shop, and also all of the questions revolving around dealing with angry people and mechanics, I'm not so sure on the environment of the job to begin with.
