About two weeks after I applied online, I received a generic questionnaire about my background, education, project experience, etc. About 1.5 months later, they asked me to complete a timed analytical assessment. The first half of the assessment tested general critical thinking and logic ability, particularly as it related to insurance products. This part of the assessment required basic math skills. The second part of the assessment tested knowledge and application of statistical methods. A week after I completed the assignment, I was invited to do a technical phone interview that was supposed to last 45 minutes. But the interviewer was nice and stayed on the phone with me until I was finished asking questions. About two weeks after that, I was invited for an on-site interview. I met with several members of the team. The conversation focused mostly on technical topics and the kinds of projects I'd be working on at GEICO. There was also a review of the analytical assessment that I had previously completed. Got an offer just a couple days after the on-site interview.

The first part of the interview was an analytical test done through excel. It was meant to assess our analytical ability. It was fairly standard and not too difficult. The second part was a phone interview that lasted about 30-40 minutes. The interviewer asked a mix of standard statistics questions but also some insurance related ones.
