Very Poor Assessment
I am a game developer with more than 6+ years of experience with the local and international market, working on platforms like PC (steam), android/ios, web and blockchain games.
I applied and received a call for a technical interview.
On the day when I arrived, I was greeted by my interviewer (who didn't show any courtesy to briefly introduce himself),
So we get started with basic questions like how you rate your skills and other stuff etc.
Then he started asking conventional interview questions normally asked from a fresh candidate who has no experience in game development, like how to reverse numbers, find loop in linked list, check identical binary tree etc.
At the very start, I told the guy I knew these concepts and I could provide logic, but he was insistent that I should write the code of the above questions on a piece of paper, which I did to some extent, providing logic irrespective of syntax.
Also, the interviewer was repeatedly going somewhere after giving me a question for like 5-10 mins,
So, around 1:30 hours passed and I was waiting for the moment when we got into the details of core game development, about my skills, about the portfolio which I had shared with my CV and on the technology I had worked on so far etc.
But that moment never came. For the last question the guy gave me, he went on again and after 25-30 mins of waiting, I was greeted by HR, who informed me that my technical interview was concluded and I was like, what SERIOUSLY???
I asked HR if the interviewer knew I was an experienced game developer, because I'm pretty sure he didn't know, didn't even see my CV as a matter of fact, otherwise he would have asked something FROM THE CV.
So, not a single question was asked about game development, my skills or experience.
I applied because I heard a lot about it from IDGA, but I'm greatly disappointed to be treated like this.
This place might be good for beginners, but definitely NO GO for seniors.
Worst Experience ever.
