Applied online, was contacted shortly after for hr phone screen. That went well and was told the design director had already seen my portfolio so I was ahead. I thought great he likes my work so during this next interview we can discuss it. During the next phone interview the interviewer sounded tired and said "oh you have all motion work, do you have anything else?" I think they don't know what a motion graphic designer is as then they asked if I had any visual design work to show. I wasn't asked any serious questions and had to wonder why I was scheduled to interview at all as I felt it was a waste of my time. The interview ended with them asking for free spec work to which I declined.
