I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Fashion Nova (Santa Fe Springs, Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2022
Interview
I would not waste my time here. I went through more than 4 interviews. Met several people all for them to tell me I did not have the experience they were looking for. They were aware of my experience from the first interview and also did a technical screening. Made it clear from the jump what I have experience in and they strung me along. It was very unprofessional. No one even greeted me at the door of their facility when I did my in person interview which is basic person to person etiquette. Seems like they have no clue what they are doing there and seems to be an obvious big mess. I looked up the credentials of some of the people that interviewed me and one has an theatre/acting certificate and no actual engineering or tech degree and has jumped job to job for the last 15 years. If that alone doesn't steer you away I don't know what will. I prefer to work where people have proper credentials because although you can wiggle your way into tech industry, top leaders at top companies are always educated with at least a graduates degree. That alone is something to watch out for or else you will be led by those who don't have top industry experience and understanding of how a company should operate. That just reeks of unprofessionalism. Same person was late by 15 minutes to our zoom call when I was busy dealing with other work issues on a tight schedule and was very impolite during the interview. He also seemed to not like the questions I asked such as how do you like the company and what projects are you excited for. His response made it seem like they were dumb questions to ask. I would say this is not a professional place at all for anyone who takes their career serious and from my experience being interviewed it was very clear this was the case. Only met one person who was actually personable. That same person let me know there is bit of toxicity and unprofessionalism in terms of company culture. I see what they mean. I think a lot of people are unhappy at this place.
