I was asked to do a 2-hour trial shift but never heard back afterwards. Communication beforehand was also poor: responses were slow, and the interview time and date were not confirmed until I contacted them again on the morning of the day they had proposed.
The trial shift itself felt uncomfortable. There seemed to be an expectation that you would immediately perform like a fully trained staff member who already knew all the procedures, yet there was little guidance or support. The working environment also appeared quite hectic, and most of the staff looked stressed.
