After the meeting with the VP, you would be handed over a lengthy assignment with a strict timeline. Once you clear the assignment round, you should have a final interview with their head. The head will keep postponing the call without regard for the candidate's time. When the interview call finally happened the head had no idea about my profile and kept passing on personal comments. The head right away told me that I was not a good fit.
If a candidate is not a good fit you reject them in the HR round and do not ask them to do lengthy assignments.
