I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ergo Group

Interview

Interview process was pleasant enough. Until a certain manager came in and sneered to my face regarding pay expectations despite my request being around the market median, stating that I wasn't all that impressive. The office vibe was subdued and the way people interacted with this manager rose serious red flags in terms of people being comfortable/not afraid in work. They offered me a position not 20 minutes later. I refused on the grounds of how I was treated in the interview and based on the fact that their employee's seem to have a low self worth that is reinforced or encouraged by management.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ergo Group (Dublin, Dublin) in Jan 2019

Interview

Applied directly and got an email a couple of days later inviting me to an in-office interview. The interview was very relaxed and they really just want to bring out your personality. No technical questions. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. Felt the interview went well and based on my experience and qualifications I felt I was a strong candidate. Other candidates that also applied found out they were not successful but I still have not heard back. Emailed to see if there was an update on my application and still haven't heard back.

I applied through an employee referral I interviewed at Ergo Group (Dublin, Dublin) in Jul 2017

Interview

Very very poor. The hiring manager indicated that he was doing me a favour by asking offering me an interview. During the 1st interview I was not asked about my current role (technical support analyst) nor my previous experience which had many soft skills required for the role. Instead told me a construction related story about his dad and asked me 'how would you communicate with men on a building site?' ....very strange. The second interviewers were two young engineers. When I asked them what it was like to work for Ergo, they looked at each other and said '......err, its grand'. I then asked them 'What skills do you require for this role?' and it was clear that there were no company parameters set out for the interview process, nor were there any professional development strategies in place for employees. The 2nd interview was worse. After I arrived I was informed that the interviewer was not aware that he was interviewing and was in another meeting. I was left waiting for 40+ mins before being kicked out of the meeting room by another employee as he had the room booked, leaving me stranded in the hallway. The interview eventually took place in the CEO's office. When I asked what salary was on offer and if there was any negotiating space I was told the hiring manager would discuss it further. A friend of mine at the company was informed by the manager that my salary demands were too high. No demands were ever made. Worst process ever. There was no feedback given from the company and a lie was told as to why I was not suitable for the role. I felt very disappointed by the whole affair. If you want to feel devalued and unsure of your own skills you should interview here, just for the experience.

As applying for an internship role the interview was very casually didn't feel nervous in the room, no difficult questions - they look to see if you don't only have the skills for the job or drive to learn but also if you will fit the ergo culture. So questions will be based on your technical ability but also certain questions will try bring your true personality to the table

One of the most comfortable interview I had they make you feel so comfortable during the interview process one thing I will have to say is be yourself cause the most important attribute they look for is the ability to fit into their team I had 2 round interview first was a little tech test then a 1 to 1 interview with one of their recruiter after that I had a chat wit one of the team lead then headed to the 2nd round were I meet the IT manager and that's were the real fun began
