A recruiter reached out to me because the hiring manager identified me as a potential candidate via LinkedIn. I passed through 4 rounds of interviews to which recruiter cited feedback were ‘positive’ from each interviewer. I had final and 5th interview with the VP. I was asked if I had experience with certain technologies to which I reiterated I did not. Note every interviewer prior asked the same and stated that it was okay and it was not a requirement. Shortly after, I was notified they went with another candidate.
Everyone I spoke to were pleasant and professional.
My only gripe is that they should refine the hiring process a little. I feel 5 individual interviews are extremely time consuming and at times redundant. They should have a pretty good idea who they want to hire after candidate interviews with the HIRING manager and if not after the 3rd and definitely by the 4th. OR just have a group interview to consolidate the 3rd,4th, and 5th interviews into one.
