The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Edward Jones (Downingtown, PA) in Dec 2010
Interview
I was referred and recommended by advisors currently employed with Edward Jones. I have not yet completed the interview process. The interview process that I have experiences so far has been a positive one. I am entering into the field for the first time, with no prior FA experience after being a homemaker for the past 10 years. I have high hopes with Edward Jones after much research and discussion with many FA's and colleagues of FA's with Edward Jones and other companies. I have been told by FA's from other companies that Edward Jones is a wonderful place to work and that it is the best place to go for the training offered and the ability to grow within the company. Based on growth and performance, there would eventually be options for partnership and a great reward program based on your goals being met.
The hiring process has four to five stages, starting with a Phone interview, business plan submission and a three-hour simulated exercise and ending with an interview with the Talent Acquisition Manager.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Edward Jones
Interview
Very thorough screening process yet informative. There were several compliance tasks that need to be completed before an actual face to face meeting was conducted. Interviewers were willing to answer all questions regarding the firm, responsibilities, and expectations.
