I don’t usually give negative reviews unless an experience is actually terrible because I know how important reviews are, but this is one that I must warn others about. Pathetic. First, the guy who was supposed to interview me sent a new meeting invite the day of my interview and I accepted it, but he didn’t say anything about changing the time or needing to postpone - just sent a new invite out of the blue. Luckily, I paid attention to the details and saw that it had been moved to the next day (without apology or explanation). That was already a red flag, but I decided to go ahead with the interview. The next day, I waited for the call and didn’t hear anything for about 10-15 min after the interview was supposed to begin… He finally called and embarrassingly enough did not mention anything about postponing the call and did not mention or apologize for calling 10+ min late. As soon as we got past the ‘hellos,’ he abruptly said, “I need to know if you would be able to move to Boston in the next two weeks?” to which I said that I could. He then continued questioning me about if I was sure I’d actually be able to move because if not then he “didn’t want to waste his *or my* time” with an interview. At this point, I was already uninterested, however, I reassured him that I would be able to move and that I would appreciate it if we could continue the interview because I had prepared for it. I never put on my resume or in my application that I had any study abroad experience, yet, apart from the moving within two weeks question, the only “question” he asked me was about my study abroad experience… to which I replied that I’d had none, but I’d had plenty of other travel experiences and cultural exchanges. After that question, he didn’t thank me for my time (shocking, I know), and simply said I’d hear something within the next week. I’m sure you can assume how that played out. No call. No email. Don’t waste your time.
