      Sales Manager Interview

      21 Nov 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DoorDash (New York, NY) in Nov 2025

      Interview

Was approached by a recruiter 3 times for three different roles. First one I went through 2 interviews and got a rejection email stating “ Although it’s against company policy to share feedback “ . I found this alarming and insulting. People need feedback so they can improve and to just reject someone with no reason is unethical in my opinion. Two weeks after being rejected , I received a message from a different recruiter for a different position but still in the sales and sales leadership. This time went through 3 interviews and was asked to do case study. I spent a ton of time preparing my presentation , only to receive an email the day before I was to present, saying they ended up hiring someone for the role. A day before my final interview. Rejected again but atleast I knew why that time. They then sent my info to a different recruiter who was hiring for a manager role in a different in store team. Three more interviews for this one and again received the SAME exact rejection email as the first time stating they can’t share feedback. To say this disheartening is an understatement. I wasted So much of my time , which is already limited , three different times. All I can say is …. It’s your loss Doordash! I would have been such an asset to your company. I’m a hard working, loyal, competitive and highly driven professional that always excels in every role I have held. If a recruiter ever reaches out again I will be respectfully declining. I have zero desire to ever work for this company now. Please consider changing your policy and give people feedback and constructive criticism on why they weren’t selected. You atleast owe people the courtesy of a reason. But I digress and won’t be ordering food from restaurants using Doordash anymore. I would rather go pick up than give Doordash any more of my hard earned money.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash

      Interview

This was one of the worst interview processes. I don't know why this company thinks they are Top Tech like Amazon and Google but simply no. They make you go through over 8 rounds of interviews, do an at home assessment and have the most unorganized case studies. The assessment takes a whole weekend to complete and seems as if they are trying to just take ideas from candidates. The people on the interviews seem like they are not paying attention to the candidate but are busy checking emails and slacks. The whole experience was draining and made me very happy to be looking elsewhere.

      Sales Manager Interview

      15 May 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sydney
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash (Sydney) in Mar 2022

      Interview

What a joke. 2 phone interviews, 6 in person interviews, and 1 homework task. Made it to the final two, they decided to go with the other candidate which is totally fine - but they just ghosted me and never came back to me. Again, what a joke.
