      Vice President Manufacturing Interview

      20 Jan 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas-Fort Worth
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Direct Biologics (Dallas-Fort Worth)

      Interview

Actual interview with the recruiter and later with a couple EVPs was fantastic. Poignant questions and seemingly honest responses. They weren't hiding the aggessive nature of the role and I highly appreciated the clarity. The process itself was strange. Initially (believe day after application) I received an email that other candidates were more suitable. Then out of the blue, a couple weeks later, the Recruiter called me and informed that they were highly interested in speaking with me. The interview went great both from interviewer and recruiter feedback so I was on to the final round, scheduling an interview with their President. Then I heard crickets for about 4 days and was informed another candidate was more suitable for the role and hence selected... ???? Strange, perhaps an internal candidate or someone from the past changed thier mind, will never know. Concerned about their lack of decisiveness on this, but their potential product was envigorating and a game-changer so likely would have been worth it.

      Question 1

How do you feel about wearing multiple hats? As a start-up, it's not the type of place where we can afford personnel who don't contribute across functions.
