1. Zoom Interview with CEO:
Covered general background and motivation.
2. Zoom Interview with Head of Data Scientists:
Discussed the nature of work and data specifics.
3. In-Person Interview:
The in-person interview consisted of discussions with two junior data scientists whose backgrounds were in chemistry and physics. Unfortunately, the interaction was marred by one team member who seemed disinterested and displayed unprofessional behavior. They mainly reviewed my resume, and a representative from HR discussed insurance and salary expectations.
4. Final Negotiation with CEO:
The final stage involved a conversation with the CEO regarding the offered salary, which I accepted. However, unexpectedly, a week later, I was informed that the company decided not to fill the vacancy!!
Overall Impression:
The experience left much to be desired. The company appeared to be small and lacked professionalism. The abrupt decision not to fill the vacancy after the entire process was both surprising and disappointing. Regrettably, it felt like a considerable waste of time.
Recommendation:
I would not recommend this company based on my experience. It seems that the organizational processes are not well-structured, and the lack of professionalism was evident throughout the interview process.
