Applied through a head hunter. This was during the pandemic, and I had a lot of agencies I was working with. This company responded the quickest and with the most energy. Had 2 phone calls back to back, one with their hiring manager, and one with the direct manager for the department I was applying for.
Both managers took the time to read my resume and base their questions off of what I put down. I lined up very well for what they were needing. Due to the speed they were needing to hire me, they skipped the technical portion of the interview and opted to ask me about projects I've worked on in the past in terms of elastic clusters and if I had leadership experience. They also gauged my personality and asked many questions of my I just don't remember. If not for the pandemic, I would've also had a face to face interview.
They were completely honest and open about what they were looking for and how I fit into the big picture. I was offered the position fairly quickly, and accepted even quicker.
