I started off the process on a good foot at Crusoe. Basic recruiter screen and spoke with the hiring manager within a week span. Although, the hiring manager virtual interview had to be pushed out, we hopped on the initial call to reschedule the call. Afterwards, it just felt that they didn’t have the process built out. I was supposed to meet with 3 team members and the VP of the team. The VP interview got pushed out to a virtual meeting for a later time that week. I felt I had good conversations with everyone else on the team. Come to the virtual interview, they let me know that they will be switching things up and canceled my interview and that they need to ensure I was making it to the next round (the VP was supposed to be part of the original panel). The next week my recruiter left on PTO with no notice and left me at a standstill, the coordinator tried to keep me informed (she could only share so much). A week a half passes and I inform them I’m in communications with another offer, so they hurried my final interview with the VP and referenced that the call was going to be about my project management and prioritization skills, but he didn’t even ask one question about these skills that I spent time to prepare for. He also referenced that they wanted someone with an Aigentic modeling, which in this industry not everyone has it all figured out yet. It just felt he was not interested throughout my whole interview and he even showed up late. Post interview, there was no communication from the recruiting team. It took them a week and half and a couple of follow up emails to finally get a response. I understand that things get busy, it just doesn’t make any sense for multiple steps within the process to not give basic communication, as the candidate and hiring team are recruiting’s customers. It was the most unprofessional experiences I have had as a prospect candidate.
