I applied for the position of Trainee Software Developer. Then I received an Online Assessment test. The test consisted of 5 sections: OOP, DBMS, HTML and JS, 2 SQL queries to write in 15 minutes, and 1 problem-solving question. I performed well in the test. In fact, my test cases also passed in the online assessment. But after many follow-ups, I got a response from HR that the position was already filled and they put my resume in the talent pool.
After 2–3 months, I received a call from Contour that I had passed my online assessment 2–3 months ago and now they needed another Trainee Developer, so they scheduled my onsite interview (but they conducted it on their PC using Microsoft Teams).
During the interview, the interviewer didn’t even properly look at my resume. I had already mentioned in my resume that I worked as a .NET Intern, but the interviewer was surprised when I told them that. Also, during the interview, they asked me to code an Overriding example. I explained what I coded, but after my explanation, I didn’t get any response from the interviewer. So I said, “Hello, are you listening to me?” After a minute, they said, “Isko explain to karein,” which I had already done. So I explained again.
The interviewer got busy with her work, and I had to say more than 5 times, “Are you listening to me?”
