Laughable!! Here was my phone interview: I was called and told “hello, your resume and background in IT would be a great fit for our contract, IT Project Manager role." What? An IT role?? I have spent over 10 years in life sciences as a PM and department manager in sterile injectable manufacturing. I hold no computer science degrees and have zero IT experience. “But, you are a manager!” Yes, I am, in a completely different field. I have no experience for this role, let alone the 10-12 years of IT experience this role requires. “You still a great fit as you are manager.” How could I manage projects for something I know almost nothing about? “You are manager.” End of call. Job seekers have it hard enough right now without this level of complete stupidity an ineptitude. This is either a scam to get personal info or sadly, this is yet another recruiter that is proving how lazy and ignorant talent acquisition has really become. Recruiters are so useless anymore it is pathetic. They cannot even understand someones resume, let alone how it is completely irrelevant to their role. And this ignorance determines whether or not the hiring manager should view your credentials or not. Walmart cart pushers bring more value to a company than this idiocy.
