Wow, what a process, it is definitely not the worst I have ever seen.
I had an HR Call with a recruiter from Dubai, he didn't even know that I applied for the position in Berlin [ though it was stated in the Ad]
After being in the software industry for 10 years and working or getting offers from FANG companies, The recruiter decided to not move forward, because simply I didn't remember one of the theoretical terms
That's a joke seriously, from the first place why would a recruiter ask such questions, especially if he doesn't even know anything about it and why would you ask questions as if we are in 3rd grade in an underdeveloped education system, Uber the owner company does way better interviews btw.
seriously take a look on GitHub, check references to see if candidates are a good fit for technical screening interview or not, even Facebook who does a similar thing (probably Careem trying to imitate them) don't put the results of theoretical questions into real consideration to advance someone to the next interview.
Anyways it is a complete waste of time for anyone who respects oneself, I heard about how toxic the culture is but didn't believe it and wanted to check it myself and make my judgment, with such behavior it is completely obvious how it goes.
