I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Nov 2021
Interview
Two weeks after applying I received an email from the recruiter about scheduling a phone screen. The phone screen was about 15 mins and I was asked why Capital One, why CODA, and how do I stay current with technology. My final interview took place one week after my phone screen. My final interview was on zoom and there were 3 parts: Job Fit, Behavioral Interview & Technical Case.
For the job fit, it was past CODA associates asking me questions like why CODA, what do I like about technology, why do I want to be a software engineer. It was a conversation and I was able to ask them questions about the program.
The behavioral interview was the pretty standard tell me about a time… I was also able to have a regular conversation with the interviewer about her role and ask her questions.
The technical case wasn’t that bad. It wasn’t like the analyst case interview though. A few concepts were explained to me and I had to ask questions to clear some things up and provide answers about what I think would be important to know. I then received a lot of questions from my interviewer that required me to do basic algebra. For this case I actually used substitution method to solve a problem, then I provided a recommendation. Brush up on your basic algebra skills. It will help a lot.
3 days after the interview I received an offer letter.
Overall the interview is not hard if you are prepared and really know your why. They look for passion for technology and creativity.

The Power Day was extremely intense, lasting 4 hours, but it was a great experience. It depends on what order they give you, so I got the case interview first, then the job fit interview, and lastly the behavioral interview.
