I was under the impression that there would be two interviews and that the first was supposed to be an opportunity to discuss my CV. The interview quickly became a quiz consisting of over 100 ridiculous questions one after the other that had clearly been copied from the internet somewhere. The questions had no relevance to cyber security or the advertised job spec and I soon realized that the individuals that where conducting the interview had no idea what they actually wanted in a candidate. After asking what SIEM tools they use to monitor their network they simply told me none and that the job is more if it breaks fix it and that they have no budget for tools. That is not a cyber security analyst role! This interview was the worst I've ever had, It was outdated and Its not the best way to get the most out of candidates. My advice is to avoid this company because there ignorance is clearly a reflection of what it would be like to work for the company.
