The hiring process was quite an easy, online application. I was then invited to an AD the following week (all communication was via email), but some people had been waiting months for an AD.
Make sure you arrive looking very presentable. Dress as smart as possible, hair neat and tidy, polished etc. Do not worry about looking too smart. For the ladies out there, it's also worth noting that if you get the job, all women must wear a skirt suit. So do not wear pants to the AD! They also like it when you wear the BA colours, and hair in an up do is a must. Take your own pen, talk to everyone and make sure you are not sitting on your phone/being antisocial when you are all waiting around. They notice these things and are watching from the moment you step in the building.
Also, if you have visible tattoos or cannot provide some of the documents, don't try your luck and hope they don't care. Lots of people were turned away pretty must straight away because of this. You will only be wasting you own time and theirs.
As everyone else has said, the day can be a little long. They provide refreshments, so it would be a good idea to bring some snacks in case you are waiting around a while.
I got through to the interview stage and had to wait around 2 hours to actually get an interview (but they provided me lunch as an apology). The whole day was a breeze until my interview where I just let my nerves get the better of me. If you remain calm and be as natural as possible you won't have a problem! Also be careful what you say, they will ask following questions about your answers. I started talking about the aeroplanes as I have some knowledge, but then they started firing all sorts of technical questions at me that I couldn't answer!
I then got an email the following week to say they didn't offer me a job. Unfortunately they can't offer feedback due to the volume of applicants.
Anyway I hope this helps! Just remember to stay calm, you got this!
