Interview
Jump through hoops
2 lots of questionairs you have to fill out on the computer and then a formal interview where the person that I had 1st been dealing with was too busy to do so I ended up with someone who didn't have a clue about me. They don't contact you to say you didn't get the job either, I wouldn't of minded so much but will happily waste 3 hours of your life and yet can't spare 2 minutes of their time.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Glasgow, Scotland) in Sept 2018
Interview
Following an online application and assessment, I was invited for an interview at the store. The manager was absent and a colleague was standing in. There was no room reserved for my interview and they didn't really seem to be expecting me. The interview was carried out in a back stockroom area surrounded by boxes. In my opinion, the member of staff did nothing to make me feel at ease, quite the reverse., I'm afraid. I don't believe she had read my application.. I completed a short 1:1 interview after which I had to go to the shop floor. Despite having been told to prepare a product of my choice, I was instead given a different product in which to try to interest customers.

Interview
Arrived early so was invited to wait in the staff room, was greeted by a lovely lady, fairly young I’d say 20’s who was the assistant manager for the beauty department.
Interview: photocopied passport (so remember to bring it), asked me customer-orientated questions and experiences I have had with customer/ situations I have been in.
Very relaxed and I felt so comfortable at this interview, I’ve had many interviews before but this one was definitely the best. Didn’t have to go on shop floor even though the email said I would.
Also I had applied to boots twice prior to this but never got an interview so keep applying you’ll get there :)
