      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Education in Apr 2024

      Interview

The most exploitative process I've ever been through with no helpful feedback at the end. I went through five interview stages, or four with two interviews in one day for the final interview. One interview was task-based with prior preparation, one was largely in Mandarin. Not necessarily difficult if qualified for the role but it takes up a lot of your time and all unpaid, only to be told by the CEO I "wasn't the right person for the role" with no further explanation after a final interview. Complete waste of my time. It at first appears very process-driven, especially since the first call is a "screening check" and yet seemingly I failed what was basically a vibe check by the CEO after a process of a month or more. They also drove along next steps very quickly after each successful interview but I then had to chase them at least twice for an outcome after final interview and had to wait at least two weeks to be told I'm simply "not the right person". I also realised that the COO could hardly understand what my CV was outlining and asked questions that didn't really make sense, based on a misunderstanding of my experience. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that it my CV was unclear but every other employee along the process didn't have an issue questioning me and I'd put it down to a language and/or competency issue. This same individual was surprised when I said I speak Mandarin rather fluently, even though I'd already passed an interview stage largely in Mandarin.

      Question 1

      - How would you deal with demanding or emotive parents, particularly bridging cultural gaps? - How would you cater to students of differing abilities? - What are your views on integrating AI with education?
