I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment in Aug 2019
Interview
I started with a screening call with the recruiter, who described the role and asked about my background and experience, and why I was interested in the role. Next was a phone call with the hiring manager, who asked some more detailed questions about my experience and answered some questions I had regarding the role.
Next was the technical interview with a couple of members of the team, conducted over the phone. After that, there was a take-home coding challenge. Finally, I came in to meet the team, with interviews that varied between technical and “culture-fit” styles.
It seems long, but the process moved quite quickly. The recruiting team kept me informed throughout, and I never waited more than a day or two to hear the progress of my application.
