I have been working at Blizzard Entertainment full-time

    Pros

    The location and employee discounts.

    Cons

It used to be a decent job in a great company. Now, it's just the definition of micromanagement. Everything is about numbers, even if targets are met they will squeeze out more and more of employees until they eventually resign and they can hire someone new for less money. This goes especially for employees that speak up about problems - that's the fastest way to paint a target on your back. And if they won't find a reason to fire those people they will systematically manage people out, leaving just enough room for interpretation to discourage employees from suing them. And if there is a lawsuit they will make sure to keep it a secret instead of tackling problems. I used to love to work there, but it's been getting worse and worse over the recent years. Especially the HR department has a very disrespectful und unprofessional manner and plays power games. Which may be as per instruction by higher management.

I worked at Blizzard Entertainment full-time

    Pros

If you're a fan of gaming culture, you'll fit in just fine

    Cons

Don't expect to become more than a cog in a machine as they rarely leave the front line of defense

I worked at Blizzard Entertainment full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    - Good salary and developing program in time. - Amazing gaming and Blizzard atmosphere on all levels. - Good and friendly people, amazing initial training before the go. - Benefits like pension plans, med insurance, and bonuses. - Free Gym and discounted food in the canteen. - A lot of Blizzard/gaming styled recognitions.

    Cons

    - Activision (head company) has too big impact on the operations in Blizzard, as a result, there are too many changes in the structure and organization. - A lot of soft redundancy for the past two years, not really feel safe on the position you are working on.

I worked at Blizzard Entertainment full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great culture and spirit within teams. Enjoyable environment. The video industry is a great place to be!

    Cons

Poor middle and lower management, often without experience or proper support. Lots of silos and hirarchical levels. People in entry level jobs are treated with less respect and have a much worse work live balance.

    Cons

Almost only customer support related jobs. Hardly any chance of lateral or lineal movement
