Went through 3 rounds of interviews, over 2-3 weeks. Everyone was very friendly. They were unsure of what the position would fully entail or if it would be contract or full time. On the 3rd call, they asked design consulting questions and for feedback on their current design and branding, which revealed both a an uncertainty in their current branding and how vague the role expectations were.

Question 1
What font would you use to design this logo? (for a yet undecided name/collection)
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Birdy Grey in Jan 2025
Interview
Applied online and was contacted by recruiter a week later to schedule the phone screen.
Pretty straightforward call and thought I had an understanding of what they were looking for. Before the end of the call they wanted to schedule the next step with the hiring manager.
Jumped on the call to meet with the hiring manager and she was still on the way into the office so we started with her on her phone and then she switched to her PC when she got in. Their office is a WeWork in NYC, and based in LA, but I guess the hiring manager (SVP level) doesn't need to be in LA. There were some distractions around her given the workspace situation. I learned more about the role and knew it wasn't a match -- looking more for production planning vs what I do.

Question 1
Tell me of a time you implemented a strategy that didn't go well.
The interviews included a general screening with the people director followed by interviews with the creative director, and then 30 minute interviews different team members. The process with informal and quick. They seem to be interested much more in the personality than hard skills since there was no case study provided or tactical project management questions asked during interview process.
