I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy in Jul 2014
Interview
I applied online, got a call a week later for an interview. Came in for the interview and had to wait a good half hour before being interviewed. We went over my resume, the job duties and what it's like to work at Best Buy, only took 15 minutes if that. I left feeling great about the interview. The next day, I left town for a 4 day vacation in which I had no cell service, when I got back into cell service I realized Best Buy had called me to schedule another interview. I called back, and went in for another interview with the head store manager. I got offered the job, and accepted. The training process was I believe a week long in which I trained for almost 38 hours and had to watch lots of boring informational videos with other new hires.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer?
Was not hard. Asked simple behavioural questions and wanted to grasp if I could handle high-pressured environments to be able to handle work on days such as Black Friday. Mostly just talked about my past experience in retail!
It wasn’t bad at all. It was just a few quick questions about my past experience and whether or not I would be able to work part or full time, stuff like that.
