The owner who interviewed me was late, rude, and I'd be surprised if they're able to retain good employees over the long run.
I'm an experienced server; An assistant manager in my last position.
I had gotten several good offers and the owner of Belo Bar called me for an interview. I asked the questions I needed to ask and offered to answer any that he had. He seemed tired and disinterested. He asked me to schedule a training and I told him that before scheduling a training, I needed to consider my other offers and contact him. I don't want to waste - his - time having him train me if I ended up choosing another job. He turned immediately angry and said "No, that's now how this works!" Taken aback, I laughed and said, "Ok, so how does it work?" He said "You come for a training, I decide if I like your work, we go from there" and he stood up and walked away from me. I told him okay, good luck then.
It was a surprising, and very negative, experience. I wouldn't recommend that anyone apply here. Other options in town are better.
