I applied to 1 of 2 open Sr Electrical Engineer positions at the time. Heard back from the recruiter after a week or so. Just collecting info and to setup the call with the manager and Prin Engineer. Teams call with them went fine, Was told that I would hear back soon. Waited a couple weeks and emailed the recruiter. He said they wanted to setup an in person interview. Great. Went in and did a 4 hr. interview, where it was 45 mins with 5 different people and a tour. Went well and seemed to get along with everyone. Was told I would hear back soon.
Waited a couple weeks and emailed the recruiter, no response. Waited another week and no response. Tried one last time a week or two later and was told that the job had been closed and downgraded to lower level for an internal person they were moving over now.
Would have been nice to know, rather than being left to sit on the hook for over a month.
I would think as a recruiter they would want to be more responsive with their potential recruits, but I have had the same recruiter on a few other jobs I interviewed for and he is always ignoring follow up emails.
