First, I was contacted by a recruiter who asked general questions about me, such as what is my current situation and when can I have the interview.
The next step was an interview with the manager. The interview was through Teams, and the manager came unprepared, meaning that he had no idea who he was interviewing and that he hadn't read my CV prior to the interview. In general, he seemed pretty uninterested about me as a candidate, supported by the fact that he didn't prepare any questions beforehand nor did he know what to ask during the interview.
During the interview, he googled "common questions in cybersecurity" and basically starts asking me questions directly from a website that he found. The questions weren't too hard since I also had access to google, but this made the process extremely disrespectful towards the candidate.
After that, the manager says that I can expect an answer in two weeks, but given the pure ignorance of the manager, I wasn't too surprised. I followed up the recruiter and the manager and got no answer at least for a month, after which I was rejected.
In summary, I would say as a candidate, that I wasn't given a fair chance, and this could be either that they had already hired someone in-house or just blatant discrimination. This left a bad taste especially since I had spent time preparing for this interview.
