I applied through an agent. First round was a take-home asignment. They ask me to give them a very specific AWS architecture design of a system, follow-up with questions related to SRE. I spent a whole day just bringing up the perfect solution and I was told that my assignment was the best assignment they have received so far. Second round was a technical round with team leader. Just scanning my past experience and my take-home assignment to check whether I did it on my own or that was LLM generated document. And she asked some very basic question related to Code review, how to merge branch and PRs ??? At this stage, I don't even know what kind of engineer they are looking for, maybe they just want to hire some fresher for lower compensation. After 1 week I receive a declined mail with some unclear reason like I do not match. Feels like they just need some candidates oppinions on their assignment :)
