I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Atlantic-IT.net
Interview
I had both a phone and in person interview as well. They were both pretty long but really thorough allowing me to ask a lot of the questions that I had.
It was more of an interview of my personality. Three people asking the same questions. The third was there for the technical part but he did not ask questions about the job. He just asked me about my resume. But they email you the applications before the interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Atlantic-IT.net
Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter who got an interview with this place, no phone screening. Usually there's at least one technical phone screen for a legitimate IT position. It was questionable but I figured maybe they really liked me. When I got there I was handed an application as if they hadn't even looked at my resume, even though they knew I was travelling over 2 hours to get there. The office itself I only counted maybe 20 or so desks and a few offices.
Getting into the place it was like they weren't even expecting an interview honestly. The HR person I was working with at the company took her lunch during the same time she scheduled my interview! I ended up working with someone who knew nothing about me. There was about 15 minutes before I could talk to anyone.
They finally got someone to see me: He was an older guy, maybe a manager or something. The guy seemed to not like me from the start, not sure why really, I dressed the part of the interviewee with full suit.
I think what it comes down to is either two things: 1) People HATE recruiters or 2) This company wants more knowledge for less pay. In this industry there is a direct correlation between how much you know and how much you get paid. When you offer less for more, smart guys will smell the BS and walk away. I would walk away from this place until they realize what people are worth vs what they're offering.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Pressured about my future and what I planned on doing in 10 years. After giving a polite, neutral answer I was questioned continuously and aggressively.
