Assembly Label interview questions

Started with a phone screening the lead to an interview 2 days later. Was feeling really positive about it. Felt less positive after the person who interviewed me couldn’t even remember which day she had spoken to me. Went into the office and the positivity came back. Was super positive at the end when she was telling me she’d give me some times to also meet with another person in the store the next week. Unfortunately the positivity was then crushed when I received an email where she stated “we’ve decided to take a different direction for this opportunity”. What does that even mean in regards to a sales assistant role??? So weird and so disappointing. I expected better from someone who was really bigging up how great the company is.
