Interview
First I met with a few members of their design team informally so we could get to know each other over dinner. Then I came in for an hour to show some of my work and did a short design exercise. Then I came back in for a full day of meetings, starting with a portfolio review and several design exercises. Finally, I was given a take-home design exercise.

Started with a simple screening with a recruiter over a virtual meeting, then it was followed by technical interview with someone from a product team with standard design process questions, previous experience, etc

Interview
Received an internal referral. Got contacted by recruiter several weeks later when they already had an offer out to a candidate. Call went great and was told if the candidate declined, I'd talk with the hiring manager. Was told I'd receive an update and was ghosted instead. Bad form especially from an internal referral.
