I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
The entire interview process for Asana was incredibly well organized, deliberate, thoughtful, and respectful of my time. The recruiters / managers were quick to follow up, very transparent about the next steps in the process, and I loved that they put a 1 hour cap on the skills assessment portion of my interview (I've had other companies request skills tests that took whole days / weekends to complete -- Asana was not one of them). I was never left hanging and really felt like they had both of our best interests in mind.

Question 1
What's your "toolbox"? (in other words: what are the programs / apps you use as a marketer)?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Asana (London, England) in Sept 2023
Interview
I did two rounds of an interview and then was invited for a third, and then told they had other candidates they wanted to move forward with instead. I wish they had not gotten my hopes up about another interview. Overall, the interview was fairly standard, asking for feedback about how I had approached product marketing previously and about my experiences at other companies.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Asana in May 2023
Interview
Multiple steps with a mix of HM and functional stakeholders. The first step was a call with the recruiter, followed by the HM, and 4 different 1:1s with stakeholders. Then a final chat with the HM.

Question 1
How do you find the right balance between global alignment and regional relevancy?
I applied online. I interviewed at Asana (USAR Center, NC) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview was smooth and focused primarily on my previous experiences and skills in organization and data analysis. The recruiter started by asking about my professional background, so I shared my experience in content creation, feedback analysis, and campaign optimization. She seemed very interested in how I approach problem-solving and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
We also discussed the company's expectations for the role, especially my ability to work independently in a remote setting. I highlighted my attention to detail and my experience using project management tools, which I think aligned well with the responsibilities. Overall, it was a positive conversation, and I felt that my background and skills matched their needs.
