I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Arup (London, England) in Dec 2015
Interview
I filled out an online application which consisted of answering a few questions. From there I was invited to an interview day. I was greeted by a member of the HR team who led me into a room with two other applicants. We had 30 minutes to complete a design problem. From there we were taken into separate rooms where we were interviewed for approximately an hour. Most of the interview was based around the design challenge.
The interview in itself was absolutely fine. However I was told that my travel expenses would be covered before the interview. I only had a weeks notice and so had to book last minute flights which weren't cheap. I have been trying to get in touch with the company for months about reimbursement with no response. I was not even provided a telephone number to contact so have only been contacting them via email. Very disappointing and it has really damaged my opinion of the company. Beware.
Online video interview. Asked to record 1:30 minute responses to 3 questions. Given time to plan answers and re-record if necessary. Questions were very general about why the job offer appeals to you
Applied online in October and then got invited to a virtual assessment centre that happened in December. The online application was pretty straightforward. The virtual assessment centre was a whole day type of thing, it consisted of a technical interview with two panelists, a competency based interview, and then a case study.
