      Store Manager Interview

      24 Dec 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Greenwich, CT
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Anthropologie (Greenwich, CT) in Dec 2016

      Interview

I saw the job posting here, applied, received a call to schedule a phone interview. Phone interview was rather basic and mechanical. Dove straight into the basic questions. A few days later, met with several individuals and sat with two different sets of two different levels of management. After it all, they were not actually hiring for what they posted, but a department manager, which was confusing. I thought it went really well, but I never heard back or had a single form of correspondence or response since...

      Store Manager Interview

      3 Oct 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Anthropologie in Oct 2023

      Interview

Very long and lengthy process. First screening was with DM by phone. Second interview was with a senior store manager. Third interview was with the DM by zoom. Fourth interview by regional. Great feedback up until the fourth interview. They completely ghosted me. Was told I would hear in a week or so. Never heard from them. I followed up with thank you and email to ask if decision was made and was told I would hear back shortly. Never heard from again. 2 months of wasted time and not even the courtesy to get a rejection letter.

      Store Manager Interview

      13 Jul 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Charleston, SC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Anthropologie (Charleston, SC) in Jun 2012

      Interview

In-person interview with the District Manager and another individual whose title was never mentioned, so no clue what she does. It was in a noisy Starbucks with a lot of distractions with customers coming in & out and background chatter, not very professional at all. If you want to work for a VERY corporate company, this may be for you. My impression is that I was speaking with two robots because the questions were scripted and predictable. There was nothing warm or inviting about the interview. Also, if you are in your 20's, tall/thin and look like a model, you will probably receive a job offer. If you have a solid retail background but your looks are average, don't bother.
