The interview was a disappointing experience. The department heads conducting it appeared unprepared and lacked professionalism, with little to no relevant experience in interviewing. They seemed unsure of what they were asking, and many of their questions were irrelevant or disconnected from the role.
The session felt one-sided—quick, surface-level questions from their side, followed by long responses from me, without any meaningful dialogue or rapport. Their lack of engagement and expression made the interaction feel awkward and unproductive.
This left me with the impression that there may be deeper organizational issues, including low motivation and unclear leadership, even at the department head level.
In my view, the company may be a good fit for junior developers, as it offers competitive salaries and a starting point in the industry. However, it’s likely not suitable for experienced professionals, especially given the risk that your direct managers might have significantly less experience than you do.
